I'm currently sitting at LAX hanging out waiting for our flight to Dallas (connection to go to Kansas City to see the Gaslight Anthem) which will be boarding in like 10 minutes I think.
here's some highlights from the last 14 hours:
we got the seat next to the emergency exit... so much leg room. good life.
flight didn't seem as long as I thought. 13 hours went by pretty fast
qantas rules. got so much food haha. 2 breakfasts, dinner, a few snacks.
spent most of the first half of the flight reading a book about the smiths. I'm still up to Morrissey's life before the band started.. long while to go. Will continue on this next flight.
had a heap of fun playing with the in flight entertainment TV thing. watched 3 rad episodes of the simpsons, watched Slumdog Millionaire (good movie!) and watched the end part of Twilight like 3 times haha to listen to the Iron and Wine song at the end.
Tried to sleep for a bit but it didn't work too well. I think i nodded off for like half an hour once and spent the other time I tried thinking about my ex-girlfriend. sick.
Was setting next to a doctor from Canberra. She was pretty rad.
America seems different already. weird cars, so much american accents, so much clutter haha.
anywayz, America. good life.

In America, first you get the sugar, then you get the power, then you get the women
